Colin Lindsay, the longest-serving member of the Pfaffinger Foundation Case Committee in our history, died on October 31, 2015.
Colin joined the Case Committee in 1981, serving for the next 33 years. The committee is composed of current and former employees who review Pfaffinger’s assistance to applicants. His long experience and keen observations were invaluable, and his sense of humor was appreciated by all. During his tenure, when he typically attended about 45 of the weekly meetings each year, he played a key role in Pfaffinger’s assisting several thousand clients. He advised us in December of last year that he would be taking a leave of absence for medical reasons.
Colin had a three-decade long career at the Los Angeles Times. He joined the newspaper in 1970, retiring in 1999 as Director of Administrative Services. His responsibilities took him all over the newspaper, and he had many friends in every department.
A private family service was held. The family asks that letters and notes of condolence be sent via Pfaffinger Foundation:
