General Community Grant Information

Pfaffinger Foundation awards grants to Los Angeles based nonprofits that provide social services to enhance self-sufficiency. We look for programs with case management, job training and safety net resources as well as programs serving older adults.

    Applications are accepted from May 1st through June 30th. Applications are reviewed and presented to the Board of Directors in October. You will be notified of a decision regarding your application in late October.

    Applicants must be a federally recognized 501(c)3 in good standing. Please review the Community Grant Eligibility page to verify if your nonprofit programs are in the scope of the Foundation’s grant focus criteria. Find more details on our Community Grants Eligibility page here.

    Applicants will need the following documents to submit an application through the Foundation’s grant portal:

    • Proof of 501(c)3 status
    • 990 tax return from the preceding year
    • W-9
    • Audited financials from the preceding year
    • Summary of mission and program
    • Current year budget

    After reviewing the Foundation’s grant focus areas and determining if your organization is a good candidate, you may submit an application through the Foundation’s online grant portal HERE during our open grant cycle (May 1 – June 30)

    After you submit your application and documents through our online portal, your application will be evaluated for completeness. Your application will be reviewed by our staff, a board committee and the full Board of Directors. You will be informed of the outcome of your community grant application in late October.

We are not currently accepting Community Grant Applications.

The Foundation is not accepting community grant applications at this time.
