    • Can you provide a copy of your audited financial statements from the previous year?
    • Are you a small to mid-size nonprofit organization in the Los Angeles area?

    If you meet our eligibility criteria, please review our Grant Process here. You may upload your applications through our online portal from May 1st through July 31st.

    Yes, you may apply again.

    Reasons for a denial may include the following:

    • Your programs are outside of the Foundation’s focus criteria and geographical area
    • You are not a 501(c)3 organization
    • You did not provide the required documents such as your W9, 990 tax return, audited financial statements, organizational budget or program summary
    • There was insufficient funding to support all worthwhile proposals

    The Foundation does make grants through our Individual Grants program which assists needy employees and retirees of companies formerly affiliated with The Times Mirror Company. Otherwise, we make grants only to organizations with a 501(c)3 ruling from the IRS and with audited financial statements.
